About the author
Bill is a father, a husband, an author, and a businessman.
His early jobs included janitor, gas station attendant, and grocery bagger. Over the last few decades, he served as the CEO of three different tech firms. Those companies spanned the globe, creating thousands of jobs and billions of dollars of shareholder value. He also worked as a venture capitalist, a strategy consultant, and a top exec at IBM. Along the way, he received an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University and a masters in business administration from the Harvard Business School.
Most recently, Bill left the computer industry to pursue a career in clean energy. He is working on a book and launching new companies that he hopes will make the world a better place.
Bill and his family have traveled around the world but their favorite place is a small community in North Georgia that is full of farms, wonderful people, a big lake, and lots of trails. He is fortunate to have many wonderful friends and neighbors, all of whom appreciate his willingness to install their WiFi networks and recommend which computer products to buy.
